Jim Etten
President
With 20+ years of institutional experience Jim is passionate to bring his knowledge and guidance to the high-net-worth investors and families he serves. Prior to forming Copper River Advisors Jim had an extensive career working inside the financial services to include asset management, capital markets, and banking.
At ICD now Tradeweb, a 50-billion-dollar asset manager based in San Francisco, Jim provided investment advice on structured investment funds, direct fixed income instruments and separately managed accounts to fortune 100 companies in Canada, Asia-Pacific as well as in U.S.
Prior to this Jim was Co-founder of a software firm in Denver that built custom fixed income trading systems for many of the world’s largest Banks and their clients to include Bank of America, U.S Bank, UBS, RBC and Comerica Bank.
Jim began his career at Bank of America in Chicago in 1998, working in the institutional asset management group, where he was responsible for managing investment solutions to Corporations, Asset Managers, Prime Brokers, Hedge Funds and Fortune 100 companies.
Jim is a regular speaker at industry finance conferences regarding incorporating fixed income, private equity and venture capital strategies inside portfolios. Because of his experience he is also sought and has served as an expert witness in numerous FINRA arbitration cases in regard to appropriate portfolio construction, product placement and fees.
Jim attended University of St. Thomas and served as an Officer in the United States Marine Corps. He lives just south of Denver.
Bob Brown
Partner
Bob has more than 25-years’ experience working for Financial Institutions in New York and extensive experience in Credit Risk Management, the Capital Markets, Fixed Income Securities, Securities Clearance and Custody.
During his 21 years at Bank of America, N.A., Bob was a Senior Vice President and the Industry Portfolio Manager for the Global Corporate & Investment Bank. In this role he approved the Bank’s exposure to U.S. Banking, Broker Dealer, Asset Management and Alternative Investment sectors. Prior to undertaking this position, he was the Credit Product Manager for the Securities & Commodities Group which underwrote all credit exposure to the Bank’s U.S. Broker Dealer, Commodities and Exchange Fund clientele. Bob joined Bank of America through its acquisition of Security Pacific National Trust Company.
Prior to working at Bank of America, Robert was employed at Swiss Bank Corporation (now UBS) and Credit Lyonnais (now CALYON) in Corporate Banking, Credit Analyst and Risk Management functions.
Bob received his B.S. in Business Administration/Finance at the University of Colorado, Boulder, and his M.B.A. in Finance & International Business from the New York University Leonard Stern School of Business.

Jason Torgler
Chief Revenue Officer at A-Lign, a technology security firm in Tampa, Florida. Jason oversees the sales teams responsible for growth and retention efforts across SMB and Enterprise markets. A Senior level Executive who has built and led software sales teams for the past 17 years. Jason began his career with ADP then at PTC.
Jason has led sales teams at venture backed startups that led to acquisitions and equity events by Thomson Financial, Thomson Reuters, Wall Street Systems, and Ion Group. Jason advises CRA on its various technology platforms, digital initiatives, and the firm’s growth initiatives.
Eugenio Meschini
Founder of Rugby Capital and Strategy Consultant at AMERRA Capital, a debt and private equity investment firm focusing on Food & Ag based in NYC. Eugenio has over 25 years of experience in private equity, debt, structure finance and capital markets experience in LATAM, Eastern Europe and South East Asia. Eugenio has worked as a Managing Director at market leading firms to include Cargill, Black River Asset Management and Proterra Capital Partners. Originally from Mendoza Argentina, he now resides in Minneapolis Mn.
Eugenio works with CRA on analyzing various private equity offerings.
